Position OverviewHelp create the experiences that shape the TCNJ student journey! This role supports Orientation, Welcome Week, transfer student programming, leadership initiatives, and programs that connect students to meaningful co‑curricular opportunities. The Co‑Curricular & Leadership Development Intern(s) assists with planning, communication, and implementation of programs including Orientation, Winter Orientation, Welcome Week, Exit Strategy, TCNJ Votes, Leader Shape, and Paw Print (TCNJ’s co‑curricular record).
Student employees will support leadership initiatives and transition programs that help students engage with the TCNJ community from their first year through graduation.
- Assist with planning and implementation of Orientation, Winter Orientation, and Welcome Week programming
- Support Exit Strategy programming and other transition initiatives for graduating students
- Assist with leadership initiatives including Leader Shape and other CCLD leadership programs
- Help coordinate TCNJ Votes programming, including election‑related events and engagement efforts
- Assist with Transition Leader recruitment and planning
- Provide support with event logistics including scheduling staff, reviewing daily schedules, and helping with day‑of event setup
- Manage and monitor the office email accounts
- Assist with social media content creation, including Instagram posts promoting events, elections, and leadership initiatives
- Help maintain and engage the Student Transitions Linked In Alumni Network, including outreach and posting content
- Support outreach to student organizations and campus partners
- Maintain consistent communication with facilitators and program partners
- Track program participation, engagement, and programming data
- Assist with maintaining records in Paw Print, TCNJ’s co‑curricular record platform
- Track program supplies and assist with preparing materials for programs and events
- Help coordinate scheduling and logistics with CCLD facilitators
- Assist with general office tasks such as creating name tags, organizing data, and preparing program materials
- Provide support for various projects and office needs as they arise
- Offer student perspective and feedback on programming and initiatives
- Hands‑on experience in event planning and program coordination
- Opportunities to build leadership and communication skills
- Experience with marketing, outreach, and social media for campus programs
- Professional development and mentorship from Student Affairs staff
- Insight into higher education and student engagement programming
- Create evaluate and share information using relevant and evolving technologies
- Build healthy relationships
- Demonstrate initiative in resolving problems or improving situations
- Determine context appropriate communication modes
- Current TCNJ undergraduate student
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Interest in leadership development, student engagement, or campus programming
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively
- Students involved in campus organizations, leadership programs, or orientation experiences are encouraged to apply
