Position Overview
The College of New Jersey's Environmental Studies program is seeking a dynamic adjunct instructor to teach one section of ENV 200:
Introduction to Environmental Studies in Fall 2026 (August 22 to December 12, 2026).
- a M.A. degree in Environmental Studies and prior college-level teaching experience with introductory courses in Environmental Studies/Science OR
- a specialization in Environmental Studies/Science and experience teaching college students. Ph.D. or ABD preferred.
This course is designed to introduce students to the interdisciplinary study of environmental issues and provide students with an introductory level of familiarity with a range of disciplines, including ecology, environmental science, policy, economics, ethics, and social justice. Students will learn to develop, compare, and integrate the key concepts and methods from multiple disciplinary perspectives and apply them to specific environmental issues and topics, including an applied, community-engaged learning project.
TeachingSchedule
This course is scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays, 3:30pm-4:50pm, in person on TCNJ campus in Ewing, NJ with a maximum enrollment of 34 students.
