What You'll Bring Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline. Or equivalent experience.
  • 0–2 years of EHS experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, work independently and as a team member, and travel locally up to 60% of the time.
  • Driver’s License

    Required:

    This position requires a valid driver’s license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area.
  • Local candidates only.

Preferred
  • Certifications such as ASP, EIT, CHMM, OSHA
    30 or similar.
  • Familiarity with EHS compliance programs and/or management systems.
  • Strong interest in developing technical and consulting skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with a variety of EHS regulatory compliance and risk management projects.
  • Prepare plans, permits, and reports for hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, and wastewater programs.
  • Conduct EHS compliance assessments and implement corrective actions to meet federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support development of EHS compliance and management system programs.
  • Provide on‑site EHS compliance support to clients as needed.
  • Conduct environmental fieldwork and audits, including sampling and ecological studies.
  • Carry out inspections, incident investigations, safety observations, job safety analyses, and risk assessments based on OSHA requirements.
  • Support multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with ERM Partners‑in‑Charge and Project Managers to deliver exceptional client service.

For the Consulting Associate, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance position, the anticipated annual base pay is $64,584–$79,751 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
