Job Summary

The Arc Mercer is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our healthcare center team. This position will provide essential clinical services to individuals with special needs in the Greater Mercer County area. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside experienced physicians, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and licensed counselors to deliver high-quality care to clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy, and collaborating with a team to ensure effective client progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical services to clients through one‑on‑one and group therapy sessions.
  • Assess client presenting problems and disorders, and provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of providers to evaluate all contributing psychiatric factors affecting clients' conditions.
  • Monitor and measure the progress and effectiveness of treatment, making adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure the accurate documentation of all sessions in accordance with program policies.
  • Coordinate and schedule assessments and intake for new consumers.
  • Engage clients' support systems in their treatment and progress planning.
  • Facilitate and complete various therapeutic programs, including family therapy, group therapy, and one‑on‑one therapy.
  • Conduct 40-45 therapy sessions weekly.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
  • Establish and work towards achieving realistic goals for each consumer.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding program details, support staff, and family participants.
  • Travel to other facilities as needed to provide treatment programming.
  • Attend Individual Service Plan (ISP) meetings and provide valuable feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate level Social Work/LPC or equivalent.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively, working with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Experience with developmentally disabled individuals is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with incident‑to‑billing is a plus.
  • You will be able to complete your required clinical hour while working.
  • Goal to sit for LSW/LPC licensure upon completion of required hours.
  • Supervision will be provided by the agency by an LCSW with CSS (Clinical Supervision Status).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no more than three suspensions or points in the past three years).
