We are seeking a mission‑driven, licensed Psychologist to join our team on a per‑diem basis to support our admissions process.
The OpportunityWe're working on a project to end homeless recidivism in the IDD population and the initial diagnosis to get someone into DDD requires a psychologist's assessment. We are seeking a Per‑Diem Consulting Psychologist to perform comprehensive psychological examinations and assessments on individuals referred for potential admission to our residential and day programs. This is a critical role that ensures appropriate placement and service planning for individuals entering our care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments on prospective new admissions with I/DD.
- Review existing clinical and historical documentation to inform the assessment process.
- Administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological tests, including measures of cognitive functioning and adaptive behavior.
- Provide clear, well‑written reports with specific diagnostic formulations, clinical impressions, and recommendations for appropriate placement and individualized treatment planning.
- Collaborate with the Admissions Coordinator and other clinical staff as needed to discuss findings.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and legal standards of professional practice.
- A Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.
D.) in Psychology from an accredited program. - Current, unrestricted license to practice Psychology in the State of New Jersey (L.P.).
- A minimum of [Insert number, e.g., 2‑3] years of experience conducting psychological evaluations, preferably with the I/DD population.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic criteria, assessment methodologies, and effective interventions for adults with I/DD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
