Compensation: $17.50 per hour
Position Overview:
The Department of Computer Science seeks a Student Worker to support student learning in a specified Computer Science course. This role helps ensure student success in the course, and allows the student worker to gain a deeper understanding of course concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate level of academic assistance to individual or small groups of students
- Work with course instructor(s) to ensure adherence to TCNJ's and the course's academic integrity policies
- Attend departmental training session(s) and maintain logs as needed
- Other responsibilities may be determined by each course instructor
Learning Objectives:
- Provide quality assistance to students and course instructor
- Gain an understanding of professionalism and confidence working in an academic environment
- Gain a deeper understanding of concepts with which they are providing assistance
Required Qualifications:
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Computer Science majors only
- Completion of CSC 220, CSC 230, and CSC 270.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of additional advanced Computer Science courses
