Shift: Thursday - 11pm-9am, Fri & Sat 11pm-7am and also weekends.
Reports to: Residential Director

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Behavior Shift Manager who will lead a dedicated team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and ensure the delivery of high-quality care to individuals in our residential program for two group homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision of the Behavioral Team
- Oversees caseload assignments and ensures that adequate behavior coverage is provided, including with new emerging needs.
- Protect and promote the health, safety, and well-being of residents.
- Trains "behavior monitors" on behavior plans.
- Serves as the primary liaison to all other departments.
- Coordinate with medical departments on behavioral issues.
- Monitor medication administration and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
- Maintain compliance with agency policies, licensing regulations, and DDD guidelines.
- Handle emergencies or behavioral escalations promptly and appropriately.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in relevant field and minimum 2 years' supervisory experience in Residential settings or a High School Diploma.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage crisis situations effectively.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams and overseeing initiatives.
- Valid driver's license with no more than 3 suspensions and/or points in the past 3 years.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 25 lbs., standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
