Coil Winder - Transformers

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Coil Winder for Transformers to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for winding of power copper transformer coils, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to the production of high-quality electrical transformers used across various heavy industrial industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with electro-mechanical components and advanced manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Wind copper conductors, multiple wires per turn and insulation materials onto a mandrel, following detailed work method guidelines and specifications.
• Follow engineers winding and insulation parameters to accurately wind coils and related components for manufacture of transformer coils from up to 2000 KVA, 15 KV class.
• Use the winding machine specifically designed for the winding of copper coils, hand tools, power tools, brazing torch and mig welder to complete assembly / winding tasks
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace to ensure quality manufacturing standards are met
• Proficiency in reading winding instructions and following instructions as they relate to producing the coils as designed and the highest of quality workmanship.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, mig welding and copper brazing for making robust connections
• Strong mechanical skills through the use of hand tools combined with a basic electrical knowledge required for comprehensive coil winding performance
