Production Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner with 1 plus
years of experience, Internships, Co-ops, to support manufacturing operations by reviewing customer demand, releasing manufacturing orders, and scheduling production to ensure the on-time delivery of products to customers.

The Production Planner will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Sales to coordinate customer requirements, material availability, production schedules, and manufacturing priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career manufacturing or supply chain professional looking to grow within a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Review customer demand, new orders, and revise customer orders through reports and the ERP/MRP system.
  • Release and schedule manufacturing orders based on customer demand, production capacity, and material availability.
  • Manage production schedules and priorities in coordination with Production Departments.
  • Monitor the status of customer orders and manufacturing orders throughout the production process.
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Materials to review material requirements, inventory availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor incoming material deliveries and identify potential shortages or delays that could impact production schedules.
  • Communicate potential production, material, or scheduling issues to management that may impact customer On-Time Delivery (OTD).
  • Provide the Sales Department with estimated lead times for new customer orders and updates on existing orders.
  • Coordinate production priorities with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and other internal departments.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP systems to maintain accurate production schedules, work orders, inventory requirements, and planning information.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, including inventory reviews and cycle counts.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules and priorities as necessary to support customer delivery requirements.
  • Analyze production schedules, material availability, inventory levels, and manufacturing requirements to identify potential constraints.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives involving production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and manufacturing workflow.
  • Follow instructions and directions from the Production Planning Supervisor or management team.
  • Follow all applicable environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, and injuries.
Qualifications
  • 1 plus years of experience, Internships, Co-ops, in Production Planning, Production Control, Manufacturing Scheduling, Materials Planning, Supply Chain, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems
    ; Infor XA experience is a plus

  • Understanding of production scheduling, work orders, material planning, inventory control, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    .
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and Sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Planning, Scheduling, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

$60,000 - $70,000 + bonus
