Pay
: $28.80 per hour.
Hours
:
Monday‑Friday with occasional Saturday; early start 4:30 or 5:00 am; year‑round steady work.
Benefits
:
Full benefits package including paid time off.
- Safely operate front, side, or rear‑loading trucks for pick‑up of bags or containers of waste or recyclable material.
- Transport material to disposal, transfer or recycling facilities, making one or more trips per shift.
- Handle manual and automatic trucks.
- Lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver up to 100 lbs, mounting and dismounting the truck as needed.
- Navigate congested communities and tight city areas; perform advanced backing maneuvers.
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections to ensure truck compliance with IWS safety standards, OSHA, DOT and local traffic laws.
- 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid Class A or B CDL.
- Airbrake endorsement.
- 1 year of CDL driving experience within the last 7 years.
- Excellent safety record and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Experience as driver or helper for a refuse company preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and applicable traffic regulations.
- English speaking and reading ability for conversing with public and completing reports.
- Ability to read and understand a map.
- Meet physical and safety requirements of the position.
- Willingness to work required hours under DOT regulation, including weekend, night and holiday work.
