$27.90 Hour

Highlights:

• Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturday hours
• Early start time - 5:00am
• Hourly pay - $27.90 with overtime pay
• Year Round-Steady work

• Drivers are responsible for safely operating front, side, or rear‑loading trucks for the pick‑up of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material, transporting the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift.
• Both manual and automatic trucks are deployed.
• Drivers may be required to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, move and manoeuvre up to 100 pounds, and mount & dismount the truck multiple times every route.

• 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.
• At least one year of CDL driving experience within the last seven years.
• Great safety record and clean MVR.
• Experience as a driver or helper for a refuse company is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations.
• Ability to speak and read English to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and make legible entries on reports and records.
• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Meet physical and safety requirements of the position.
• Willing and able to work required hours as allowed under DOT regulations, which may include weekend, night, and/or holiday work.

• Routes may require navigation through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city locations.
• Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential to successfully perform this job.
• Drivers routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts.
• Driver pre‑ and post‑inspections are required; drivers are responsible for ensuring their truck is in compliance with IWS’s safety standards, OSHA and DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.
