Maintenance / Mechanic (Maintenance)

The technician maintains physical structures, grounds, and facilities across ESH, performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure safe, reliable operation.

• Perform duties necessary to keep the physical structure of ESH in good repair.
• Snow removal for hospital and clinic grounds and landscapes, including operation of electrically powered and gasoline-powered grounds keeping equipment.
• Monitor HVAC system PM, troubleshoot and repair HVAC issues using the BAS. Replace sensors, coils, and valves when needed.
• Perform carpentry tasks such as building walls, installing doors and frames, drywall patching, and painting of walls at all facility locations.
• Repair mechanical systems, perform boiler maintenance and cleaning. Replace valves when necessary; replace broken water lines, install new water lines, and replace water valves.
• Perform electrical compliance testing of outlets, replace outlets and light switches as needed. Replace breakers, reset tripped breakers, rewire light fixtures, and perform preventive maintenance on emergency lighting in fixtures. Repair cords with proper ends. Install conduit and wire on newly built walls. Replace exterior light fixtures.
• Complete assigned preventive maintenance on all compliance-related equipment.
• Operate light vehicles (e.g., pick-up trucks, skid steer) and portable power tools and equipment such as saws, grass trimmers, snow/leaf blowers, sprayers, paint machines, and other grounds keeping equipment safely, obeying applicable traffic laws and wearing appropriate safety gear.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• HVAC Certification preferred.
• 2+ years of previous maintenance experience preferred.
