Job Title
Under supervision, will provide drug, alcohol and gang prevention and intervention services. Assist teaching staff with immediate response to problematic student behavior. Provide initial training to implement the student's Behavior Intervention Plan and to make direct intervention with the student when necessary. Assist the school in dealing with students who present serious problem behaviors specific to drugs, alcohol and gang engagement.
Responsible for monitoring the student's progress as well as instructing staff and students in appropriate behavioral skills and behavior skills strategies which will assist in productive, positive behavior intervention. Will provide staff training in de-escalation strategies, trauma, proactive behavior strategies, and restoring relationships, etc

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of (3) years of experience working with "at-risk" students in an educational or social service setting; or, a bachelor's degree in a related field.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree or 48 units or Certification of Passage of the Instructional Aide Assessment Exam. Less than three (3) years of experience requires a bachelor's degree in a related field.
