Accounting Manager/Controller

We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Controller to lead core accounting operations and provide accurate, timely financial reporting for our client in the Brentwood area. This hands on Accounting Manager/Controller role oversees the close process, maintains the integrity of the general ledger, and supports audit readiness through strong controls and documentation along with handling the AP, AR, and Payroll. The ideal Accounting Manager candidate brings a hands-on approach to accounting, with the ability to manage reconciliations, journal activity, and in-house payroll responsibilities with precision.

This is a very hands on role in a small office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the monthly close cycle, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Manage the general ledger by reviewing account activity, maintaining proper classifications, and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries that support routine accounting operations and period-end reporting.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain reliable financial records.
• Oversee in-house payroll processing, confirming accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
• AP, AR, and Reconciliations.
