Overview
The Buyer III performs complex purchasing procedures in the acquisition of goods and services to support a manufacturing facility. This position manages a range of buying and contracting projects and serves as a liaison between the Procurement department, internal customers and vendors.

- Correspond with vendors concerning a range of issues including request for quotes, price changes, contract adjustments, terminations, and procurement costs
- Draft contracts and negotiates terms of contracts with vendors to ensure that goods and services are procured at the best value and within regulations
- Oversee contract administration; consult with internal customers regarding contract implementation, extension, renewal, re-negotiation, or termination; serve as subject matter expert for departments on best practices of procurement procedures
- Conduct analysis of the quality and performance of goods and services; and perform cost/benefit and life cycle costing and commodity standardization studies
- Resolve disputes between vendors and departments that may arise regarding a range of issues including quality of goods, delivery schedules, and other contract provisions
- Present information, explain rules and procedures
- Respond to complex requests and guide lower-level staff in addressing routine requests
- Consult with internal customers to determine goods and service needs and priorities while developing timelines and conduct acquisitions in compliance with procurement policy
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
- Bachelors Degree or (9) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
- Pay Range: $76,500 - $96,000 annually
. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
