Health and Human Development Instructor- Full-Time
Position Summary
The Health and Human Development Department seeks a dynamic, passionate, and energetic teacher to fill a full‑time, regular teaching position beginning August 2026. Candidates should be interested in being part of a collaborative group of teachers and working with highly motivated high school students in a diverse, mostly residential community. Successful applications will demonstrate candidates’ ability and willingness to be active participants in the Academy's academic, extracurricular, and residential programs.

Candidates should be prepared to teach health education classes, contribute to curriculum development and updates annually, and be interested in helping to shape courses in the Health and Human Development Department in the future. Candidates should be familiar with the National Health Education Standards and CASEL frameworks. We especially encourage applicants with demonstrable experience in health promotion, marketing, event planning, and working with students, related to behavior change.
An advanced degree in Public Health, or a related field, is required. Strong desire and experience working with 9th‑12th grade students. MCHES certification preferred. Experience teaching in a classroom setting for a minimum of 3‑5 years. Equivalent experience may be considered. The salary range is $55,566 (step 1) to $123,480 (step 25).
