Drama Club Advisor

Exeter High School in SAU 16 seeks outstanding applicants for the position of Drama Club Advisor at Exeter High School. The Drama Club Advisor will oversee all aspects of planning, organizing, and executing theatrical productions each school year. This includes directing students, managing production logistics, collaborating with school staff, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for student performers and crew.

Qualifications:

• Experience directing high school or community theater productions
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Knowledge of technical theater (lighting, sound, set design)
• Ability to supervise and mentor high school students
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Coordinate auditions, casting, and rehearsals
• Manage production schedules, budgets, and logistics (costumes, sets, props)
• Collaborate with faculty, custodial staff, and parent volunteers
• Ensure all activities align with school policies and safety regulations
• Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels

Student Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for creative expression
• Mentor students in performance, technical skills, and stagecraft
• Encourage student leadership roles within the production
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and confidence through the arts
• Support student growth in collaboration, problem-solving, and public speaking
