Provides support in the functional areas of clerical, clinical, and business under the direct supervision of a provider.
Requirements- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience
- Medical Technician Registration
- BCLS within 30 days of hire
- Assists in conducting clinical care activities under the direction of a provider.
- May perform clinical duties such as setting up for and assisting the provider during examination and procedures. May assist with dressing changes and facilitates patient flow.
- Obtains clinical data such as vital signs; height and weight; records accurately.
- May clean instruments or other patient treatment areas as needed. Stocks rooms with appropriate medical supplies.
- May conduct phlebotomy as assigned; collects and prepares lab specimens.
- Performs administrative duties to include answering telephone inquiries; organizing patient charts; assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient medical records.
- May transport patients to other hospital departments as necessary.
- May call in prescriptions as directed by the provider.
- May schedule pre-admission and diagnostic testing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
