Job Description:

Per Diem Commitment Requirement:
Must be available to work a minimum of four shifts per month. (Training will need to be atleast 2-3 days for several weeks) Clinic

Hours:

Monday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Tuesday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Shifts will vary based on clinic needs during operating hours.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience
  • Current New Hampshire Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire
Major Responsibilities
  • Follows established departmental policies and procedures; objectives; quality improvement programs; safety/environment of care programs and infection control standards.
  • Provides personal care to patients.
  • Performs all clerical duties to include accurate and timely patient care documentation.
  • Transcribes physician orders; maintains record integrity.
  • Performs clerical duties relating to admission; discharge; transfer and death.
  • Maintains department records; reports and files.
  • Requisition s supplies; equipment; maintenance and repairs.
  • Keeps stock and equipment inventories.
  • Determines proper functioning of medical equipment to assure patient safety.
  • Maintains a safe; comfortable and therapeutic environment for patient and family in accordance with hospital standards including assurance and support of patient's rights and responsibilities.
  • Performs EKGs and/or ortho tech/telemetry skills.
  • May perform phlebotomy in designated areas.
  • Orients new LNAs.
  • Performs basic procedures to include incentive spirometry; bedside testing such as blood glucose testing; non-sterile dressing changes and oral suctioning and maintains aseptic technique when appropriate.
  • Performs accurate and timely documentation of patient care information on appropriate patient medical record forms.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the patient care plan.
  • May enter laboratory orders and/or records charges.
Additional Clinic Responsibilities
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs.
  • Assist with wound dressing care and non-sterile dressing changes as directed.
  • Prepare and turn over exam rooms between patients.
