Parts Counter Specialist — Keep the Shop Moving — New England Truck Center
Location: Exeter, NH ·
Pay: $18 – $28/hr based on experience

Every tech in the bay depends on the parts counter. New England Truck Center is hiring a Parts Counter Specialist in Exeter, NH to be the person who keeps the right parts moving to the right techs at the right time — the quiet hinge the whole shop swings on.

We're part of the NETC Fleet Services family — one of New England's fastest-growing names in towing, recovery, and commercial truck service. When a truck's down and a tech needs a part now, you're the one who finds it, sources it, and gets it to the bay so the job keeps moving. This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) position with a clean schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:30AM to 3:30PM
. No nights, no weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Run the computerized parts catalog and keep a live inventory of stock and special-order parts
  • Dispense parts to the service techs and keep them working
  • Find the best sources for replacement parts and assemblies, and purchase standard items
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for the right quantity and quality
  • Process invoices for payment and keep clean, accurate records
  • Get quotes on major purchases and secure approval for non-routine buys
  • Stay current on pricing, parts changes, and technical service bulletins by working closely with sales and shop staff
Qualifications
  • Sharp organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • A basic understanding of automotive/diesel parts and mechanical systems
  • Solid communication — verbal and written
  • Comfort with computers, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office (or the ability to learn fast)
  • Basic math skills for invoicing and inventory
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior parts department experience with diesel engines preferred
  • Warehouse experience with high productivity and organization is a plus
