Production Manager, Operations Manager, Operations Engineer
Overview
In this role critical to our supply chain operations, the Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for managing and leading all production and material planning activities at our Exeter site. This includes creating the production and material schedules to meet corporate metrics that include on-time delivery, capacity utilization, forecast accuracy, inventory days of supply and inventory turns targets. This leader will oversee and lead the planning team and coordinate with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure production schedule adherence, inventory optimization and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic and tactical planning strategies that align with Frontgrade’s operational and business goals
- Manage, mentor and implement succession strategies for the planning team
- Ensure production plan aligns with customer requirements and business priorities
- Develop methods and standards to measure and monitor flow and control of material on the manufacturing floors (WIP management)
- Utilize and manage core metrics and Key Process Indicators to lead the planning and production control teams in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements
- Work with the teams to capitalize on opportunities and issues such as what-if scenarios, push outs and pull ins
- Develop and maintain comprehensive capacity models that include rough cut capacity and resource utilization planning
- Implement weekly cadence to monitor schedule attainment, review customer priorities, proactively escalate issues and monitor material shortages
- Participate in S&OP (SIOP) process, working closely with the Master Planners to ensure job orders/WIP are in line with minimal compression, and serve as a backup as needed
- Ensure ERP master data is optimized and updated to ensure data integrity
- Minimum of 6 years experience in planning, manufacturing, or operations management roles
- Strong expertise with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, M2M, etc)
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership, resource allocation, and KPI development
- Bachelors Degree, Minimum four (4) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field. OR Masters Degree:
Minimum two (2) years of experience in people management. Minimum six (6) years of experience in field. - Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
- Pay Range: $101, annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate
