Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented SMT Operator to join our manufacturing team in Exeter, NH. The SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining SMT equipment used in the assembly of electronic circuit boards and components. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, and a commitment to quality standards.

• Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment including Pick & Place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens.
• Load and verify electronic components according to work orders, build plans, and production schedules.
• Identify electronic components by type, value, and numerical markings.
• Perform visual inspections of printed circuit boards before and after reflow to ensure proper component placement and quality standards are met.
• Conduct minor machine troubleshooting and daily preventative maintenance on SMT equipment.
• Clean and maintain stencils, feeders, nozzles, and related production tools.
• Monitor production runs and make minor machine adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with material handling activities.
• Accurately complete production documentation and maintain records as required.
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and manufacturing guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of SMT machine operating experience in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience operating Pick & Place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens is highly desirable.
• Ability to read work instructions, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (6–8 hours per shift).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.
