Job Description & How to Apply Below

Mace Machine LLC — Exeter, New Hampshire
A day in this role

It’s start-up time on the shop floor. You’ve reviewed a new customer print for a tight‑tolerance, small‑diameter part destined for aerospace electronics. You import the model into ESPRIT CAM, map out live‑tooling, cross‑working, and back‑working moves, and simulate until the path is clean. You post to FANUC or Mitsubishi for a Citizen Swiss lathe, select the tooling and work holding, and head to the machine.

First article runs, you measure with micrometers, indicators, gage pins, and optical inspection tools, tweak offsets, and lock in a stable, efficient single‑cycle process. You document the setup and proven method, mentor a teammate on the approach, and later sit in on a quick kaizen for setup‑reduction ideas. By day’s end, the cycle time is down, quality is rock‑solid, and the process is ready for repeatable production.

What you’ll own
  • Create, edit, simulate, and optimize Swiss programs in ESPRIT CAM
  • Set up and operate Citizen Swiss‑style machines to prove out processes
  • Translate complex drawings, GD&T, and specs into complete machining strategies
  • Choose tooling, work holding, cutting data, and toolpaths for live‑tooling, milling, cross‑ and back‑working operations
  • Drive to “one‑and‑done” cycles wherever practical
  • Troubleshoot programming, tooling, dimensional, and production issues
  • Reduce cycle time without sacrificing stability or quality
  • Run first‑piece and in‑process inspections; adjust offsets and parameters accordingly
  • Document programs, setups, tooling, and proven methods for repeatability
  • Coach less‑experienced machinists and contribute to manufacturability reviews
  • Participate in continuous improvement and setup‑reduction efforts
What you bring
  • Advanced experience programming and setting up Swiss‑type CNC equipment
  • Deep proficiency with ESPRIT CAM
  • Hands‑on experience with Citizen machines and FANUC or Mitsubishi controls
  • Strong command of Swiss turning, live tooling, milling, cross/back working
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and GD&T and align to customer requirements
  • Proven skill in tooling selection and efficient process development
  • Expert troubleshooting and problem‑solving across equipment and process
  • Comfort with precision metrology: micrometers, indicators, gage pins, optical inspection, and related instruments
  • Solid grasp of speeds/feeds, tool geometry, materials behavior, and process control
  • Experience holding tight tolerances in stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper alloys, and engineering plastics
  • Consistent, accurate work with limited supervision; strong attention to detail and quality
