A Day in the Role Run Citizen Swiss-style CNC lathes (sliding headstock) to make precision parts.
Load bar stock and keep bar feeders and machine operation running smoothly.
Follow documented programs, setup sheets, job travelers, and work instructions.
Perform routine tool swaps and replace worn or damaged inserts.
Apply tool wear offsets and dimensional adjustments from inspection feedback.
Verify dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and visual condition of parts.
Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using precision metrology tools.
Record inspection data and complete all required production documentation.
Identify and communicate tooling, tolerance, or machine-performance concerns.
Assist with setups and changeovers in line with your experience level.
Keep the cell clean, organized, and safe.
Contribute ideas to improve quality, throughput, and process consistency.
Adhere to all quality, safety, FOD, and material-handling procedures.
What You Bring Hands-on experience running Swiss-type CNC machines or comparable CNC equipment.
Background with Citizen machines and FANUC or Mitsubishi controls is preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T.Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, indicators, gage pins, optical inspection tools, and related precision measuring instruments.
Comfort making tool offsets and routine machine adjustments.
Skill in spotting tool wear, dimensional drift, and production issues.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Consistency in following documented processes and maintaining accurate records.
Reliable team player able to produce repeatable results with limited supervision.
Minor CNC program edits are a plus but not required. Prior aerospace/defense or AS9100 exposure is helpful but not required.
