Long-Term Care Nurse; RN - Exeter, Hampshire

Position: Long-Term Care Nurse (RN) - Exeter, New Hampshire
This contract opportunity in Exeter, NH, offers a rewarding nursing role focused on rehabilitation and long-term care within an inpatient rehab setting. Ideal candidates will have strong skills in rehabilitation and medical-surgical nursing, along with IV experience. This position supports a 19-bed unit that emphasizes personalized patient care with a typical 6:1 patient-to-staff ratio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in an inpatient rehab unit
• Manage IV therapies and skilled wound care when required
• Monitor patients with mechanical lifts, Baxter and Kangaroo pumps, and other rehab equipment
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain thorough documentation in the Meditech EMR system
• Adhere to unit policies, including dress code and scheduling guidelines
• Participate in every other weekend shifts to support continuous patient care
• Flexibility to float to CCU, Medical-Surgical, and Emergency departments as needed

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Current RN license and BLS certification (required)
• Prior experience in rehabilitation and medical-surgical nursing essential
• Proficiency with IV therapy administration
• Experience or familiarity with wound care, stroke, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients is preferred
• Demonstrated flexibility, kindness, and strong attention to detail
