Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the on-site nursing team to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Manage unit operations to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report results to leadership.
  • Enforce infection control practices and safety protocols across the unit.
  • Develop and monitor care plans, adjusting based on patient progress and metrics.
  • Oversee staffing schedules, allocations, and performance to meet targets.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across the unit.
  • Ensure effective communication with physicians, patients, families, and staff.
  • Mentor and develop nursing staff through coaching and structured feedback.
  • Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and supply usage to optimize costs.
  • Support onboarding and training programs for new hires and current staff.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for the unit.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Nursing license in state and RN unit management experience
  • Proven ability to lead on-site nursing teams and coordinate care
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
  • Staffing management: scheduling, allocation, performance, and coaching
  • Experience in unit budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Ability to monitor KPIs, generate reports, and drive improvements
  • Clinical care planning with outcome-driven adjustments based on metrics
  • Strong communication with physicians, patients, families, and team
  • Change agent for continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Mentoring and development of nursing staff through structured feedback
