SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA) is responsible for medication administration to stable residents; is directly responsible for performing specified services for residents as designated under the supervision of a licensed nurse; and provides medication administration as determined, delegated and monitored by a licensed nurse.
We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. We want our residents to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in all aspects of their lives to include not only physical, but also emotional, social, spiritual, environmental, and intellectual well-being. The MNA is responsible for the administration of topical, oral, nasal, ophthalmic, vaginal/rectal medications, and inhalers as directed by a licensed nurse.
Further, they will replenish medications and supplies as needed, as well as maintain a clean and orderly medication cart and room. As part of the collaborative nature of our team, the MNA effectively observes and communicates to the licensed nurse regarding administration and effectiveness of medications, as well as significant observations/abnormalities on resident care. Additionally, the MNA provides our residents with comfort and care through bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, answering call lights/alarms, and more.
Our MNA's are responsible for following all established safety, documentation, and infection control policies/procedures.
- Successful completion of an approved course for Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA) as set by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing and OBRA.
- Must possess a valid and current LNA license in New Hampshire
- Must possess a valid New Hampshire Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA) license.
- 2nd Shift: $4.00/hour
- 3rd Shift: $5.00/hour
- Weekend Premium: $2.00/hour
