We are seeking both experienced and early‑career Physician Assistants (PAs) and Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) who are motivated to grow, lead, and make a meaningful impact in a fast‑paced, urgent care environment. At ConvenientMD, the Advanced Practitioner Level 2 (AP2) role is designed for clinicians ready to take the next step; combining strong clinical independence with leadership and mentorship. You’ll serve as a trusted clinical resource, driving quality initiatives, supporting team development, and contributing to operational excellence, while practicing with a high level of autonomy, including as the sole on‑site provider when needed.

In this role, you’ll also leverage your experience to mentor newer clinicians, all while benefiting from the support of lead providers and physicians to ensure safe, efficient, and exceptional patient care.

• Provide comprehensive, evidence‑based urgent care to patients across the lifespan
• Independently assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and implement appropriate treatment plans
• Maintain competency across all urgent care clinical services

• Complete accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the EMR
• Maintain compliance with chart audit standards and clinical guidelines
• Stay current with urgent care best practices, trends, and evolving clinical standards
• Serve as a clinical resource for AP1s and new providers
• Participate in onboarding, coaching, and mentorship initiatives
• Support the development and growth of team members

• Identify opportunities to improve clinic flow, reduce wait times, and enhance provider efficiency
• Collaborate with clinic leadership on workflow optimization and team dynamics
• Support clinic coverage needs with flexibility while maintaining high standards of care
• Adhere to regional floating and coverage expectations, including supporting nearby clinics as needed

• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives
• Support a positive clinic culture and team environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Licensure, &

Certifications:

• Master’s degree and certification by Physician Assistant (PA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certifying body.
• Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online‑only classes.

Relevant

Experience:

Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a comparable ambulatory setting.

• Demonstrated track record of high‑quality clinical performance and strong team engagement.
• Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills: willingness and ability to mentor providers and non‑provider clinic staff.
• Excellent team player: enjoys collaborating with others and being part of a strong team dynamic.
• Proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal).
