Position: Resident Care Director (RCD)

Are you a compassionate nursing leader who is passionate about building strong teams and delivering exceptional resident care? We're looking for an experienced Resident Care Director to lead our Nursing Services department and help create an environment where residents receive outstanding care and employees thrive.

As our Resident Care Director, you'll provide both clinical and operational leadership, ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and a culture centered on dignity, respect, and excellence.

What You'll Do

As the clinical leader of our community, you will:

  • Lead and oversee all Nursing Services operations

  • Coach, mentor, and develop nursing leaders and frontline staff

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

  • Promote exceptional resident-centered care and quality outcomes

  • Partner with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care

  • Participate in admissions and resident care planning

  • Monitor staffing, scheduling, and department budgets

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives (QAPI)

  • Prepare for and support state survey readiness

  • Oversee infection prevention and resident safety initiatives

  • Investigate resident concerns and ensure timely follow-up

  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture

Required Qualifications

  • Current unrestricted NH
    RN or LPN license

  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, hospital, or related healthcare setting

  • Current CPR certification

  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing practices

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
