Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Exeter, NH | Acute Care

Contract | 12-hour rotating shifts, primarily nights with potential swing to days | Every other weekend | Scheduling completed in 6-week blocks | No self-scheduling

• Provide direct patient care on a Level 2 Maternity, Level 1 Nursery unit serving approximately 600 deliveries per year across a 19-bed L&D, postpartum/mother-baby, and pediatric unit
• Care for maternal-child and newborn populations, including deliveries from 35 weeks and up, and occasional age-appropriate med-surg patients (females under 65)
• Perform and assist with labor and delivery procedures including circulating for cesarean sections performed in the on-unit OR; scrub skills a plus
• Operate unit-specific equipment including Philips fetal monitoring, IV pumps, Plum 360 ICU medical pumps, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and glucometers
• Execute unit-specific protocols including IV management, RN bedside ultrasound for presentation, epidural catheter removal post-delivery, and phlebotomy
• Follow staffing and patient ratio guidelines in accordance with AWHONN standards

• Active NH RN license or compact state license required
• BLS certification through AHA required
• ACLS certification through AHA required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and pediatrics required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must not have locals — candidates must reside outside the local area to be considered

• C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification highly preferred
• Scrub experience for cesarean sections preferred
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing systems

• Work within a supportive community hospital environment on a Level 2 Maternity unit with staffing ratios guided by AWHONN standards
• Unit provides navy blue scrubs, offering a streamlined and professional work environment from day one
