Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Occupational Health & Safety
Environmental Health And Safety Manager
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager oversees all environmental and safety programs. This includes developing safety procedures and training and managing facility inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities- Advise management on safety and compliance issues
- Design and conduct comprehensive environmental and safety audits for compliance and continuous improvement
- Develop and deliver safety training and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and legislation
- Maintain safety equipment inventory and ensure staff have all the necessary equipment
- Maintain safety files, records and training database
- Respond to health and safety issues and regulatory agencies
Experience:
- Bachelors Degree:
Minimum six (6) years of experience in people management. Minimum eight (8) years of experience in field. OR Masters Degree:
Minimum four (4) years of experience in people management. Minimum eight (8) years of experience in field. - Experience in similar manufacturing environment/EHS industry
Preferred
- Manufacturing safety experience and some regulatory knowledge and experience with hazardous waste
- Manufacturing experience in safety and OSHA regulations
