Transport Data Team – Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Transport Data Team playing a vital role in shaping how people travel across Devon. The wider team has secured multi‑year funding and is in the process of setting a long‑term programme for capital and revenue transport projects across the county.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommission, collect, collate and analyse transport data that underpins the development of a wide range of transport projects, spanning flagship active travel schemes, major highways infrastructure projects and county‑wide public transport interventions. Provide reliable transport data and analysis to support safer roads, sustainable travel choices and informed planning decisions for future growth. Support internal and external partners with traffic data to help deliver work programmes for the transport planning and highways teams, and gather evidence to respond to Councillors, stakeholders and the public.
Modernise data collection, looking at GPS data and above‑ground detection, and learn about software such as AI technology and Power BI in transport data.
