At First Student, our Dispatchers help keep students moving safely and routes running on time. You'll coordinate buses and drivers, handle daily schedule changes, and keep communication flowing between the location team, drivers, monitors, and school customers.
This is also a hands‑on transportation role. While the regular schedule begins at 8:30 a.m., the Dispatcher must be available to report as early as 5:45 a.m. on an as‑needed basis to provide bus driving coverage when the location is short‑staffed. Additional hours worked outside the regular schedule will be paid as overtime in accordance with the applicable union agreement.
If you have transportation experience, communicate clearly, and can work through problems in a busy environment, we'd like to hear from you.
