Job Description
0.333 FTE Art teacher to teach grades K and 1 for Wawaloam Elementary School. Selected individual will meet with 2 classes of children each week at each grade level (K-1.) Position Type:

Job Requirements
Rhode Island teacher certification (or eligibility) as an art teacher is preferred. The district is willing to work with new graduates, or with individuals who may qualify for emergency certification in art (based on education and experience). Individual must demonstrate the ability to engage young learners in hands-on, rich learning experiences and seek opportunities for technology integration and collaboration with classroom teachers as well as the team of Metcalf specials teachers.
Bachelor degree preferred.

If applicable, applicant must be currently certified by the Rhode Island Department of Education for the position for which they are applying. Before you begin your employment as a Certified Employee you will need to complete/submit the following:
- Federal Withholding Form (W-4)
- BCI – Criminal Records Check (including fingerprints) addressed to EWG – (Please bring the attached Criminal Records Check Consent and Disclaimer Form to your hometown police station for processing)
- Copy of your License and Social Security Cards
- EWG Medical History Form -
- RI Teaching Certificate (if applicable) – (please call the ri dept. of education at with any questions you may have concerning certification)
- Praxis Certificate (if applicable)
- 403 (b) Notification form
