RN (Nurse) Emergency Care at Yale New Haven Health summary:
The RN Emergency Care nurse provides individualized, goal‑directed nursing care in accordance with hospital policies, focusing on continuous assessment of patient physical and psychological conditions. They act as clinical resources and role models while participating in staff education and fostering teamwork and professionalism. The role requires accredited nursing education, current licensure, and preferably experience in medical‑surgical nursing, pediatrics, or telemetry.

Responsibilities- 1. Essential Functions
- 1.1 Assesses the patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care. Documents appropriately the information obtained from the ongoing assessment. Shares significant assessment data with the appropriate discipline.

- Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. - Experience
Medical‑surgical nursing, pediatrics, telemetry experience preferred. - Licensure
Current state registration. BLS required. ACLS (Optional). PALS within one year of hire.
