Responsible for the overall delivery of psychiatric services to FSRI’s Home Division, including South County Academy and Residential Interventions. Tasks include culturally competent psychiatric evaluation, safety assessment, medication evaluation, ongoing medication management and monitoring, participation as a key member of an interdisciplinary team in planning, developing, organizing, and directing clinical services, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, coordinating and supervising nursing staff, providing team and utilization management consultation, individual, group, and family treatment, staff training, and leadership to ensure therapeutic, appropriate, and outcome‑supportive services.
Qualifications- Current valid license to practice in Rhode Island
- Current DEA Certificate & Number
- Board-certified or meets training requirements for Board eligibility in Child Psychiatry
- Experience working with children and adults from diverse social, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
- Experience providing psychiatric treatment to youth and adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders
- Skilled in operating various medical record software and hardware, word-processing, and database software programs
- Spanish speaking preferred and compensated
- Flexible schedule with some evenings
- Excellent multitasking and communication skills required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bilingual/ASL skills compensated by an additional 6% above base pay
- Multilingual skills compensated by an additional 8% above base pay
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, registration and auto insurance
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Travel to clients’ residence, community locations, and office site, including use of walkways, stairs and/or elevators
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Must be able to work remotely and in person adhering to PHI requirements
