Deputy Manager - Children's Residential

Deputy Manager (DM) – Children’s Residential | Berkshire Are you an experienced Deputy Manager (DM) , Senior Support Worker or Team Leader looking for your next opportunity within children’s residential care? We’re working with a child-centred provider with a strong focus on helping young people develop confidence, independence and the practical skills they need for adulthood. This is an organisation that genuinely wants young people to leave their homes feeling prepared for their next chapter — including education, employment and independent living.

As Deputy Manager (DM) , you’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. You’ll play an important role in leading the team, maintaining high standards of care and making sure each young person receives consistent, individualised support. As Deputy Manager (DM), you’ll be involved in:
Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home Leading, motivating and supporting the residential care team Providing guidance, supervision and support to staff Ensuring safeguarding and welfare remain at the heart of practice Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and young people’s records Supporting staff with challenging situations and behaviour Working closely with social workers, families and other professionals Supporting Ofsted compliance and quality standards Helping create a positive, stable and structured home environment Ensuring young people’s views, wishes and feelings are heard We’re looking for someone who has previous experience within children’s residential care , ideally at Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Manager (DM) or similar level.

You’ll need a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence for this opportunity. This could suit an experienced Deputy Manager (DM) looking for a fresh challenge, or a strong Senior Support Worker/Team Leader who is ready to take that next step into Deputy Manager (DM).
