Chemistry Analyst
Full training will be given and a pay rise is also pending. The role is temporary, initially until the end of March 2027, and will be based in Starcross. Working days are Tuesday through Saturday.
The lab analyses environmental samples accredited to ISO/IEC
17025. The team processes a high sample throughput using a range of different techniques and instrumentation. Responsibilities include sample preparation, hands‑on analysis, and reporting of results.
Key techniques commonly used:
- ICP‑MS
- AAS
- Ion Chromatography
- Continuous Flow
- Colour Chemistry
- Wet Chemistry Techniques
- BOD
- COD
Core competencies required: communication, customer focus, decision making, delivery of work, planning, problem solving, and teamwork.
Personal requirements:
- Available to start within four weeks.
- Chemistry degree or closely related, or A level Chemistry.
- Ideally, resident local to Exeter.
