Overview
Fleet Services are responsible for maintaining Force vehicles across Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. Our mission is to provide a safe, reliable and efficient vehicle fleet that meets the demands of operational policing. We operate four workshops across Devon and Cornwall and are now seeking an Auto Electrician to join our workshop at Sowton, Exeter. You will deliver a prompt, efficient and high-quality auto electrical repair and maintenance service, helping to maximise vehicle availability and ensure all assets remain safe, reliable, legally compliant and fit for purpose.
Keyresponsibilities
- Diagnosing and repairing auto electrical faults across a wide range of vehicles and equipment
- Carrying out planned and reactive auto electrical maintenance
- Completing all associated documentation accurately and on time
- Ensuring work is completed in line with health and safety standards and manufacturer guidance

- Workshop experience in automotive electrical disciplines
- Good understanding of health and safety within auto electrical work
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and their practical application
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
