Salary: £40,579.20 per annum including £1,000 additional allowances
Contract:
Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week
We are seeking a Level 3 Electrical Installations qualified Electrician to join our Facilities Maintenance team at HMP Exeter, a Category B Adult Male local prison. You will work alongside experienced colleagues across various trades to create a safe and nurturing environment for prisoners, employees, and visitors. The role involves maintaining electrical installations, ensuring safety, and supporting the smooth operation of the facility.
Qualifications- C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent qualifications
- A certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations 18th Edition
- A minimum of two years experience working in a role as an electrician, preferably within a healthcare, military or commercial environment
- An honest and conscientious character, with an ability to approach challenges in a calm manner and a positive attitude
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
- Holidays: 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays

GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM services will in future be delivered by the private sector. Following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
