Renewables Assessor – Solar PV & Storage

South West:
Exeter, Torquay, Plymouth, Tavistock

Self‑employed: 1–2 days per week, £330 per day / £165 per half day.

• Work from home and manage your own territory carrying out MCS assessments on Solar PV and Battery Storage (EESS) installations.
• Ensure contractors and installers comply with the expected codes of practice.
• Carry out assessments for registered engineers, installers and contractors.
• Evaluate the work and resources of applicants looking to join the scheme.
• Build ongoing relationships with applicants, contractors and professional bodies.
• Produce detailed reports as required.

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) technologies.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy installations, related codes of practice and the MCS scheme.
• Membership with IET, IEE or CIBSE (or equivalent) is of significant interest.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heat Pump technologies is desirable for extra work days.
• Personable and able to build relationships.
• Confident in writing reports.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

• Self‑employed role, payment £330 per day / £165 per half day.
