This role is for a hands-on working fabric technician with a good understanding of general building services and estate management. The role involves carrying out planned preventive maintenance and reactive works to building fabric and responding to site emergencies or client concerns.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that routine fabric maintenance is carried out to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
  • Ensure that all reactive tasks logged are carried out to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
  • Carry out all moves and changes required by the client.
  • Undertake a full range of general maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and tiling, ensuring service levels are met and maintaining the building fabric at a high standard.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and pass it promptly to the contract facilities coordinator.
  • Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to any works starting.
  • Perform lone working when and where required.
  • Develop good working relationships with the CBRE team, subcontractors, and client staff.
  • Provide a safe and healthy working environment, wearing uniform and appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all CBRE and client policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional image of CBRE to clients and visitors, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Maintain fabric and technical skills through personal development.
  • Keep the fabric technician storage area safe and tidy.
  • Escort visiting subcontractors around the site to ensure safe execution of service-related tasks and review and approve RAMS before works start.
  • Log good and bad observations.
  • Promote and maintain CBRE work ethics and culture, following the RISE values.
  • Act with high trust and integrity when handling confidential information.
  • Identify and implement innovation across the contract to enhance performance and exceed client expectations.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience with CBRE systems (desirable).
  • PA testing and IT installation knowledge (desirable).
  • Good IT skills, proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Good communication etiquette.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to build and develop relationships with key business and account stakeholders.
  • Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 25 kg.
  • Full security clearance from the client.
