HGV Technician required in Exeter, Devon

Our client, a Main Dealership in the Exeter area, is looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician.

• Complete all service work and defined maintenance work of the utmost quality and efficiency within manufacturers’ time schedules.
• Supply a professional performance in all aspects of work activities to make an essential contribution to the value and retention of customers.
• Support colleagues in the workshop with any technical issues and innovations.
• Carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions.
• Ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times.
• Document the results of diagnosis/repairs/service/safety inspections.

• The split shift hours for this role are Monday to Friday 6am till 3.30pm, with half an hour unpaid lunch, then the following week 1pm till 10.30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch.
• Salary range up to £50,000, dependent on experience and skill set.
• Shift allowance pay is £25.00 per day for each shift completed.
• Overtime is paid at 1.5× for weekdays and double time from 10.00am Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
• Holiday entitlement is 22 days plus bank holidays.

• Live in the Exeter region or be within a reasonable commuting distance of Exeter.
• Fully qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum, ideally with practical experience post‑qualification.
• Committed individual and a good team player.
• Ability to produce high‑quality work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for the team.
• Technicians with an active HGV driving licence would be highly advantageous, however this is non‑essential.
