We are currently recruiting for an experienced Labourer to work on an ongoing lead pipework programme within the water industry.
The role will involve attending customer properties as part of a two-person team to carry out investigations to establish whether lead is present within existing service pipework.
Laborer Responsibilities:- Must be confident with removing and reinstating water meters.
- Assist the Plumber with sampling, flushing and pipework investigation activities.
- Support with accessing and working around external stop taps.
- Assist with the use of specialist equipment during pipework investigations.
- Carry out general labouring and site duties as required.
- Work across multiple customer properties throughout the working day.
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when working at customers' homes.
- Work safely and follow all relevant water industry procedures.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Previous water industry or utilities experience.
- Experience removing and reinstating water meters is essential.
- Good practical skills and a willingness to learn.
- Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
- Comfortable working as part of a Plumber and Labourer team.
