About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Skilled Labourer to join our team at HMP Exeter on an ongoing basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the site, supporting the Site Supervisor, assisting with safety-related duties, and carrying out basic snagging and minor remedial works as required.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is practical, dependable and comfortable working in a busy construction/site environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out daily housekeeping and general site cleaning duties.

* Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe.

* Support the Site Supervisor with day-to-day site requirements.

* Assist with site safety-related tasks and maintaining safe working areas.

* Identify and report hazards, defects and maintenance issues.

* Carry out basic snagging and minor remedial works.

* Assist trades and site personnel as required.

* Help ensure the site is maintained to a high standard at all times.

* Follow all site rules, health & safety procedures and instructions.

Requirements

* Valid CSCS card – essential.

* Previous experience working on a construction or busy site environment.

* Practical, hands-on approach to work.

* Good awareness of health & safety.

* Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

* Ability to carry out basic remedial and snagging works.

* Good communication skills.

* Experience of working in a secure environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
