Accounting Manager

We are seeking a hands-on, motivated Manager of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to join a growing corporate finance team in Chester County. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the CFO in a small, sophisticated corporate office, gain exposure to SEC reporting, and potentially grow into a Controller role in the coming years.

You will oversee financial statement preparation, U.S. GAAP compliance, monthly and quarterly close activities, and mentor 1–2 accounting staff, while partnering with FP&A, operations, auditors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K)
• Research and document complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, inventory, and new accounting standards
• Oversee financial statement preparation and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting
• Serve as a primary liaison to external auditors, managing requests, technical memos, and issue resolution
• Mentor and guide junior accounting team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
• 3+ years public accounting experience supporting SEC-registered clients OR 4–6 years in corporate financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Experience with inventory accounting preferred
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to mentor and lead a small team
