Reporting to the Director, Corporate Accounting, the Manager, Technical Accounting leads the research of technical accounting issues and maintains the Company’s global financial policies. Partnering with individuals throughout the business, the role is key in ensuring business initiatives are accounted for properly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead the technical accounting policy function, providing consultation to the global team.
- Prepare detailed accounting memos that summarize the topic, technical accounting guidance, and the Company’s conclusion.
- Ensure accounting policies are maintained and properly reflect the current company and accounting landscape.
- Monitor, research and interpret new U.S. GAAP pronouncements and SEC reporting requirements, and assess and document the impact on the Company’s financial statements and disclosures through implementation.
- Lead the accounting of derivatives, improving the respective control processes in each cycle.
- Review revenue contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, working with legal, contracts, and commercial team members.
- Assist in the preparation and review of Form 10‑Q and 10‑K SEC filings during quarter‑end months.
- Interact with cross‑functional teams that include controllership, financial planning and analysis, operations, treasury, tax, investor relations, legal, human resources, internal and external audit, and others, keeping business partners abreast of developments in accounting and financial reporting through publications, training sessions, and other forums.
- Interact with internal and external auditors to support the Company’s accounting positions and facilitate an efficient audit and review process.
- Perform special projects and other duties assigned by the Controllership team as necessary.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience5+ years experience in Public Accounting, industry with a Public Company, or a combination.
Preferred Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and Sarbanes‑Oxley 404.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize conclusions and make recommendations to management.
- Experience with SAP and HFM preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with teams and manage multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective functional and technical knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
- Ability to work on multiple complex projects and bring those projects to successful conclusion.
- Demonstrated success in working across multiple levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times.
Active CPA license required.
Travel Requirements10%:
Up to 26 business days per year.
