We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant for a 1-month contract with a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process and record vendor invoices accurately and timely within the appropriate accounting period
- Reconcile Accounts Payable balances with aging reports, general ledger, and bank activity
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding A/P matters
- Review daily cash activity and record transactions in the general ledger
- Prepare journal entries and assist with bank reconciliations
- Support monthly close activities, including account reconciliations and adjustments
- Assist with special projects and additional accounting duties as needed
- 1–3 years of Accounts Payable or Staff Accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Experience with accounting systems (Sage preferred)
