At Morningside House, our front desk is often the first place residents, families, visitors, and new guests turn when they need help. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and organized Front Desk Receptionist / Concierge to help create a welcoming and professional environment in our community.
In this role, you will greet visitors, answer and direct phone calls, help residents and families with questions, and provide general information about the community. You will also help with simple office tasks such as organizing paperwork, handling incoming and outgoing mail, entering maintenance requests, keeping important information up to date, and assisting other departments when needed.
The Front Desk Receptionist also plays an important role in keeping our community safe and organized. You will help manage visitor sign-ins, resident check-ins, community keys, and other front desk records. You will also monitor cameras, door alarms, and building safety systems and report any concerns or unusual activity to the appropriate team member.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people and can stay friendly and professional in a busy environment. We are looking for someone who communicates well, pays attention to details, is comfortable using a computer, and can handle several small tasks throughout the day. Most importantly, our Front Desk Receptionist should help residents, families, visitors, and team members feel welcomed and supported whenever they come through our doors.

- Greet residents and provide general assistance to visitors, prospective residents and families.
- Ensures safety of the residents and property by monitoring surveillance cameras, door alarms, life safety systems, building alarms and investigating any unusual activity.
- Ensures that incident reports, concern reports and other appropriate communication have been completed.
- Completes daily check-in procedure.
- Maintains visitor sign in/out book, reservation book for guest rooms, logs and communicates maintenance request work orders.
- Maintains current list of residents by name and room number, telephone numbers for all personnel, department extensions, names and contact information of key personnel.
- Maintains log for the issuance of community keys and gate passes.
- Maintains appearance of lobby and ensuring there are fresh flowers.
- Assist departments with administrative services to include ordering supplies
- Coordinates outgoing and incoming mail to the community.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Experience in Microsoft apps (Excel, Word, Outlook).
