We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer / Supply Chain Specialist to support our procurement and supply chain operations while contributing to continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Position Summary

The Buyer / Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services necessary to support business operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining vendor relationships, managing inventory levels, analyzing market trends, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while upholding quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source, negotiate, and procure goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously using sound independent judgment
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, inventory data, and supplier documentation
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality standards and on-time delivery
  • Analyze market trends and demand forecasts to support purchasing decisions
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow
  • Identify supply chain inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
  • Secure competitive pricing while maintaining product quality and reliability
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives and long-term procurement strategies
  • Collaborate with Quality and Food Safety teams to ensure suppliers meet approved-vendor requirements, including COAs, allergen statements, and certifications
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support traceability and product integrity
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
  • Experience with vendor negotiations, inventory management, and supply chain optimization
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Education & Preferred Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
  • Certifications such as CSCP or CPIM are highly desirable
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or regulated environments preferred
  • Work Environment & Schedule
  • Hybrid work arrangement
  • Standard office hours:
    Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
  • Occasional overtime as business needs require
  • Physical Requirements
  • Primarily sedentary office work (sitting more than 50% of the workday)
  • Occasional standing and walking
  • Frequent computer and office equipment use
  • Ability to communicate clearly and observe details at close range
